NFL insider Peter Schrager had a pretty bold prediction about Baker Mayfield. He thinks the Buffalo Bills will move up into the top 10 to draft him.
Schrager released the second edition of his NFL Mock Draft today. In it, he explains the move that he thinks will go down.
PROJECTED TRADE WITH COLTS. What would it take for the Bills to move into this spot? I think picks 12 and 22 for the sixth overall choice would be a fair swap. Buffalo gets a QB, Indianapolis gets yet another pick in the first two rounds, and both teams can build, build, build.
The Bills acquired the 12th pick earlier this month in a swap with the Cincinnati Bengals. The team shipped out Cordy Glenn and the 21st overall pick in exchange for the higher selection.
Peter Schrager thinks the Bills can make another move, packaging the two first rounders to take Baker Mayfield at No. 6.
It would be the latest in a long line of first round moves. The Colts sit at No. 6 after swapping places with the Jets, who acquired the third pick.
Mayfield is one of four quarterbacks being considered at the top of the NFL Draft. USC's Sam Darnold, UCLA's Josh Rosen, and Wyoming's Josh Allen are his main competition.
Darnold is commonly viewed as the probably No. 1 pick. However, the Browns are not publicly ruling out anyone, Mayfield included.
Cleveland have two picks at the top of the draft. After the No. 1 pick, the Browns also own the fourth-overall pick as well.
The Browns are one of many clubs that are considering the Oklahoma star. He has also spoken with the Giants, Jets, Broncos, Cardinals, Chargers, Bills, Saints, and Jaguars.
