Buffalo Bills vs. Baltimore Ravens preview

Buffalo gets a tough Week 1 draw against the Baltimore Ravens before hosting the divisional rival New York Jets in Week 2. The Bills surely have their calendars marked for Week 4 when they travel to Foxboro to take on the New England Patriots without Tom Brady. Buffalo should look forward to a Week 17 matchup against the Jets, whom the Bills knocked out of playoff contention last year.

The Ravens open against playoff contender Buffalo before a divisional matchup against the Cleveland Browns in Week 2. Baltimore makes back-to-back trips to New York in Week 6 to take on the Giants and Week 7 to visit the Jets. After a Week 8 bye, the Ravens host rival Pittsburgh in the first of two contests.

The Buffalo Bills finished the 2015 campaign with an 8-8 regular season record and missed out on the playoffs in Rex Ryan's first season with the team.

Baltimore suffered its first losing season under the helm of John Harbaugh as it went 5-11. The Ravens were subject to several season-ending injuries, including quarterback Joe Flacco and wide receiver Steve Smith Sr.

Rex Ryan is one of the most well-known coaches in the NFL, but unfortunately for Buffalo, that fame didn't translate to wins during the 2015 season. Ryan is 54-58 as a head coach in the NFL.

John Harbaugh has been one of the most successful coaches in the NFL since his debut season with the Ravens in 2008. Harbaugh brings a 77-51 record into his weekend date with the Bills.

The Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens have met six times in history and have split the series 3-3.

Buffalo Bills vs. Baltimore Ravens prediction:

The Ravens enter the 2016 season healthy and ready to avoid a second losing season under John Harbaugh. With Joe Flacco back and deep-threat Mike Wallace looming, the Ravens offense will be too much for the Bills.
