Ex-NFL Player Robert Eddins Shot And Killed In Detroit

A former Ball State and NFL linebacker was shot to death Tuesday night in Detroit.

Robert Eddins, 28, who played in one game for the Buffalo Bills in 2011 and spent much of his time on the practice squad, was found dead in the basement of a Detroit home, along with another man.

Police say Eddins and the second victim, 32-year-old Ricky McFarland, were shot multiple times. Their deaths appear to be a homicide.

“The gas was on from the stove, somebody left on, the pilots were not lit, so it looks like it was an intentional act,” Detroit Police Captain Kurt Worboys told ABC.
