Josh Allen cemented his status as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL last season, throwing for 4,544 yards and 37 touchdowns. It’ll be tough for him to exceed those numbers, but he’s off to a great start.
After this Thursday’s practice session, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders told reporters that Allen made a jaw-dropping throw to Cole Beasley.
“Josh made a throw today that I haven’t seen, a post ball to Cole Beasley that was crazy,” Sanders said. “My mouth dropped, and I’ve been in the league 12 years.”
Sanders has been in the NFL for over a decade and has played alongside so many talented quarterbacks, such as Drew Brees, Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger. The fact that Allen can make throws he’s never seen before is really impressive.

Allen is entering the fourth year of his rookie contract. The Bills already picked up his option for the 2022 season though.
When asked about a potential contract extension, Allen said that he’s strictly focused on this upcoming season and what he can do to help Buffalo win a Super Bowl.
“It’s honestly the least of my worries whether it gets done or not,” Allen said, via The Buffalo News. “We’re here to win a Super Bowl. I can’t focus on those things and feel like I can come out here and feel like I can be the best possible teammate, quarterback I can be. My focus is completely on the field.”
If Allen plays at a high level this fall, the Bills will be in the mix to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
