After drafting Kyler Murray No. 1 overall in this year’s draft, the Arizona Cardinals needed only one day to jettison last year’s first round quarterback, Josh Rosen. But despite being traded to the Miami Dolphins, Rosen does not appear bitter about how things turned out.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday following his trade to Miami the day before, Rosen posted a video thanking the Cardinals organization for the opportunity to play and introducing himself to the Dolphins fanbase. But he also congratulated newly-minuted Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray on being the No. 1 overall draft pick.
“…Unfortunately my time here is coming to an end, but you guys are really getting a hell of a player in Kyler Murray, and he’s going to do great things for the Red Sea.
“Kyler, I just want to congratulate you and your family for getting drafted. Arizona’s a really special place and you’re going to love playing and living here.”
Thank you @AZCardinals

Rosen also added a bit of humor to the video by noting that his two-bedroom apartment is now for sale:
“Kyler, one more thing. An awesome two-bedroom in Old Town just came under the market, so let me know if you’re interested and I think I can get you a pretty good deal.”
The message has been very-well received, and even earned Rosen props from former Cardinals defensive back Tyrann Mathieu.
Handled that better than me. Good luck 👍🏼. That was cool! https://t.co/dk831WbVUW

The Cardinals traded up to draft Rosen No. 10 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. But of the five first-round quarterbacks taken last year, Rosen had arguably the worst season of any of them.
He finished his rookie season with a 3-10 record, completing just over 55-percent of his passes for 11 touchdowns with 14 interceptions.
With his trade to Miami, Rosen became the first quarterback drafted in the first round since 1970 to be let go after just one year.
