After being traded to the Miami Dolphins over the weekend, quarterback Josh Rosen is now with the team, acclimating to his new surroundings. Based on his latest Tweet, it looks like he's having a good time.
On Monday morning, having just arrived with the team, Rosen wrote that being with the Dolphins felt like "the first day of school all over again..."
Feels like the first day of school all over again lol
Rosen landed with the Dolphins on Friday following a trade with the Arizona Cardinals - the team that drafted him the year before. Arizona sent Rosen and a late-round pick to Miami in exchange for the Dolphins' second-round selection.
In his rookie year in Arizona, Rosen completed just over 55-percent of his passes with 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
But he became expendable once the Cardinals drafted Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray No. 1 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Interestingly enough, Rosen joins a Dolphins team that shares some similarities with the team he just left.
The Dolphins have a rookie head coach, a veteran expected to start the season, and with fairly low expectations. The Cardinals shared most of those traits last season.
It's not an ideal environment for Rosen to thrive in this year, but his opportunity to win the starting job should come sooner rather than later.
