Tragic news struck the NFL on Thursday as Kendrick Norton of the Miami Dolphins suffered a serious injury in a car accident.
Norton was taken in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft by Carolina. He spent most of the season with the Panthers before getting signed off the practice squad by the Dolphins in December.
Unfortunately, it sounds like the 22-year-old defensive tackle’s football career could be over.
Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald is reporting that Norton’s arm injury is catastrophic. He is also reporting that Norton’s injuries are serious but not considered life threatening.
Further details came from Andy Slater, who is reporting that Norton had his left arm amputated.
Slater revealed that Norton’s arm was amputated at the scene, which puts into perspective how serious the collision must have been.
