Antonio Brown has said repeatedly in the past that he doesn’t “need” football. Well, it looks like that may not be the case.
If Brown doesn’t “need” the game, he misses it and wants to play again, at the very least. That’s what his latest Instagram post conveys.
On Thursday night, the mercurial wide receiver posted a common meme featuring the superhero Wolverine looking at a picture frame. The meme is supposed to symbolize a person missing or longing for something.
Inside the frame, Brown photoshopped a picture of him on the sideline in a Patriots uniform, talking with New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
Brown caught on quickly with New England, catching a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins in his only game with the team.
However, the Pats cut ties with him amid his latest round of legal trouble. Brown has been out of work since.
Despite his apparent desire to return to the field, Brown is probably going to have to stay on the sidelines for a while longer. It doesn’t seem like any team is considering signing him given all his baggage.
