Earlier today, news broke that the NFL was investigating the possibility that the New England Patriots videotaped the Cincinnati Bengals sideline during Sunday’s game.
A New England advance scout was in attendance for the Bengals’ clash with the Cleveland Browns. The Patriots will play the Bengals this coming weekend.
Depending on whose side of the story you believe, the Patriots’ advance scout was being filmed as part of the team’s documentary series “Do Your Job” and there was a misunderstanding on the Bengals’ part, or the camera was at one point focused on Cincinnati’s sideline. The NFL is looking into the situation.
Earlier tonight, Bill Belichick spoke on WEEI and said he has “absolutely nothing to do” with the filming that was being done.
“I have never even seen any of their tapes or anything else,” he said. “This is something that we 100 percent have zero involvement with.”

Listen, the general public probably isn’t going to give the Patriots the benefit of the doubt in this situation. However, the league will have the final say on this matter.
Meanwhile, the Patriots and Bengals will get ready to play their game this Sunday.
