During the Patriots' win over the Jets on Sunday, Julian Edelman suffered a chest injury that sidelined him for the entire second half. Fortunately for the defending champions, the injury shouldn't be considered too severe.

Edelman had seven receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown in only two quarters worth of action. New England had the luxury of sitting him out for the second half due to the lopsided score.

The Patriots have cruised through the first few weeks of the season, steamrolling past the Steelers, Dolphins and Jets. On Sunday, they'll have to face an undefeated Bills squad on the road.

Facing the Bills in a hostile environment should be a nice test for the Patriots.

With practice ramping up this week in preparation for the game, the Patriots were joined by Edelman.

His return to practice is a strong sign that he should play on Sunday barring any setbacks.

It's certainly possible that New England held out Edelman last week for precautionary reasons.

Now that Antonio Brown is no longer with the Patriots, the receiving corps isn't as deep as it once appeared. Edelman is the primary option for Tom Brady, meanwhile Josh Gordon and Phillip Dorsett serve as the next best options.

As long as Edelman continues to participate in practice this week, the AFC powerhouse should have him on the field for Week 4.
