Although the Patriots defeated the Giants with ease in Week 6, the defending champions unfortunately lost Josh Gordon to a gruesome knee injury. It isn't considered a long-term issue as of now, but the veteran wideout's status for Week 7 is in jeopardy.

New England has dealt with its share of losses to its receiving corps. Before the season even began, the Patriots placed rookie wideout N'Keal Harry on injured reserve.

The Patriots also had to cut ties with Antonio Brown, who is currently under investigation by the NFL.

Gordon has been one of the few reliable options left in the passing game for Tom Brady. However, it doesn't appear that he'll be healthy enough to play on Monday night.

Once again, the Patriots were without Gordon during practice. He hasn't participated in practice at all this week, which means his status is in serious doubt.

Here is the full injury report for New England:

In the event New England doesn't have Gordon on Monday Night Football, the offense will need a heavy dose of Julian Edelman.

All that really matters for the Patriots is that Gordon stays healthy for a playoff run. It'd be a real surprise if the team doesn't list him as out against the New York Jets.
