Another strong safety has come off the NFL free-agent market.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jabrill Peppers is going to sign a one-year with the New England Patriots. He's expected to be ready for the start of training camp after tearing his ACL last year.

Peppers has spent the last three seasons with the New York Giants. Before he tore his ACL, he was putting up some solid numbers. He finished the 2021 season with 29 total tackles (19 solo), one sack, and one pass defended. His best season came in 2020 when he had 91 total tackles (57 solo), 2.5 sacks, one interception, and 11 passes defended. He was making plays all over the field and that's what the Patriots are likely hoping to get from him this season The NFL world thinks this is a good move for New England.

Before Peppers was with the Giants, he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He spent two seasons with them before he was dealt to the Giants in the Odell Beckham Jr. trade.
