It didn’t take very long for Josh Gordon to find a new home in the NFL. Roughly 24 hours after the New England Patriots placed him on waivers, another front office decided to take a chance on the veteran wideout.
During his time with the Patriots, Gordon totaled 60 receptions for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns. The coaching staff was hopeful that he’d be a large part of their offense this year, but his injury and the acquisition of Mohamed Sanu decreased his role.
On Thursday, there were reports coming out that New England part ways with Gordon because of his work ethic. He reportedly showed up late to meetings and wasn’t considered dependable.
Regardless of all the negative chatter surrounding Gordon, the Seattle Seahawks have decided to claim him off waivers.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport broke the news about the Seahawks claiming Gordon.
He’s under contract for the remainder of the season.

Gordon needed a few weeks to recover from a knee injury he suffered against the New York Giants. However, the Pro Bowl wide receiver has said he’s ready to play.
Seattle can deploy a nice trio at wideout, which includes Josh Gordon, Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf.
Hopefully, Gordon can stay focused and healthy moving forward.
