On Monday night, the New England Patriots demolished the New York Jets in an AFC East showdown.
In what was supposed to be a competitive rivalry game with Sam Darnold back on the field, the Patriots had Darnold seeing “ghosts” en route to a 33-0 win.
The victory moved New England to 7-0 on the season, but didn’t rest on its laurels. Just a few hours after the win, New England traded a second-round pick to the Atlanta Falcons for wide receiver Mohamed Sanu.
Quarterback Tom Brady welcomed Sanu to the team with a “see you soon” tweet. Not long after, wide receiver Julian Edelman had a message for the newest Patriot.
He tweeted a gif in celebration of the trade.

A dangerous team just became that much more dangerous by adding a veteran receiver that fits into New England’s scheme flawlessly.
It won’t take long for Sanu and Brady to develop a solid chemistry.
New England reportedly tried to trade for Sanu before the NFL draft, but eventually got their man. He heads from a 1-6 team to an undefeated organization on its way to yet another playoff run.
Next up for the Patriots is a contest against Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns.
