Over the weekend, the New England Patriots suffered their second loss of the season to the Houston Texans. Star quarterback Tom Brady was spotted on the sideline getting fired up at his wide receivers – showing his displeasure with their play.
Following the team’s uninspired performance, a report suggested Brady might leave the Patriots after the season.
NFL insider Jason La Canfora brought up the possibility of the Los Angeles Chargers moving on from Philip Rivers in favor of Brady.
Here’s what La Canfora had to say on XTRA 1360 San Diego:
“If [Brady] does go anywhere, clearly he frustrated right now with the state of what’s around him in New England and he has been all year and it’s boiling over now. Look at the skill position players with the Chargers. It would be the best cast Brady has played with since Randy Moss and Rob Gronkowski.
The next stage of his life and his career is built around Hollywood. That’s not speculation, that’s not guessing, that’s where it’s at. Whether it’s producing movies with Matt Damon and his Hollywood buddies. If he leaves, there’s one place that makes sense.”
It would be a drastic move for Brady to sever ties with the Patriots just to join an AFC team.
Could this finally be the year where New England’s dynasty falls apart? Every other teams in the AFC – and the NFL, for that matter – sure hope so.
