Due to a short week, the New England Patriots had to make an early decision on Phillip Dorsett. The former first-round pick was on the injury report this week because of a hamstring issue.
After a slow start to his career, Dorsett has found a nice role in New England. He already has 15 receptions for 197 yards and three touchdowns.
Dorsett saw his role increase once Antonio Brown was released by the Patriots.
Unfortunately for the former Hurricane, he won’t get the chance to face a vulnerable Giants secondary tomorrow.
The Patriots announced today that Dorsett will be inactive for Thursday’s game against the Giants.
New England also announced that Josh Gordon and Julian Edelman are questionable. This could leave Tom Brady with a thin receiving corps this week.
Patriots ruled out WR Phillip Dorsett for Thursday night's game against the Giants. Players listed as questionable include RB Rex Burkhead, WR Josh Gordon, WR Julian Edelman and S Patrick Chung.

Even without Dorsett in the lineup, the Patriots should have success on Thursday. The Giants have struggled every game this season to defend opposing teams through the air.
Nonetheless, it’s imperative that New England has Gordon and Edelman on the field tomorrow. They’re both important pieces to the offense and are undeniably the best weapons the team has at the moment.
Another key player on the injury report is Rex Burkhead. He’s a versatile tailback that can make plays as a receiver out of the backfield.
Kickoff for this game is at 8:20 p.m. ET from Gillette Stadium.
