When the New England Patriots take the field this weekend, they will likely do so with star wide receiver Julian Edelman on the field.

Last weekend, Edelman had to miss the second half against the New York Jets due to a chest injury. New England held a large lead, so there was no need to put Edelman back in the game.

With a showdown against the undefeated Buffalo Bills looming this weekend, it appears the top wideout for the Patriots will be ready for action.

Although he was limited at practice earlier in the week, Edelman should be back on the field after traveling with the team.

Considering that Edelman  participated in practice this week, he should be good to go as long as he avoids any setbacks.

The star wide receiver is Tom Brady's favorite target after Rob Gronkowski's retirement. He'll be needed on Sunday in one of the biggest games of the year for the Patriots and the Bills.

Sunday’s game will decide first place in the AFC East through the first quarter of the regular season. New England's defense has been dominant, but Buffalo boasts its own stout defense as well.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET Sunday on CBS.
