Tom Brady is still at the top of his game. He just turned 41 last week, but shows no signs of slowing down his performance.

Brady is scheduled to make $15 million this season, which isn't that much considering how much other quarterbacks make. Matt Ryan is making $30 million per year, and even Brady's former backup Jimmy Garoppolo is out-earning him in San Francisco.

However, the Patriots are making sure to take care of their franchise quarterback in other ways. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, TB12 has a pretty significant potential bonus being added to his deal.

Per Schefter, the Patriots are putting up to $5 million in incentives in Brady's contract.

It goes without saying this is a smart move. Brady deserves the money, and he'll likely hit whatever metrics he needs to earn the bonus, provided he stays healthy.

Last season, Brady led the league with 4,577 yards passing, adding 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions. New England went 13-3 and reached the Super Bowl.

Brady has talked about playing until he is 45, so he might have a few seasons left in the tank.

As long as he is on the field, the Patriots will remain a Super Bowl contender.
