Free agent running back Adrian Peterson will be taking a visit on Monday, per a new report.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, former Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson is visiting the world champion New England Patriots.
It will be his first visit of free agency.
The 32-year-old Peterson finished off an injury-marred 10th season with the Vikings in 2016. As the offseason went along, he was linked to a number of teams, including, among others, the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers and New York Giants.
Still, the only action surrounding Peterson's future has been either hypothetical or behind the scenes. This would be the first movement since he became a free agent.
In his 10 years with the Vikings, Peterson rushed for 11,747 yards and 97 touchdowns. He was limited to three games in 2016 due to injuries and played only one game in 2014 because of an in-season suspension.
We'll keep you posted with any further details regarding Peterson's visit to New England.
