Of all the NFL’s opening weekend games, none are more highly anticipated than the Steelers-Patriots match-up. Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger will face-off once again in an AFC battle.
This year’s game will be played at Gillette Stadium. Big Ben is 0-5 in games played in Foxboro when Brady is playing. Roethlisberger’s only win on the road against the Patriots came in 2008 when Brady was injured.
The Patriots are coming off another Super Bowl season. New England beat the Los Angeles Rams 13-3.
Both the Patriots and Steelers have high hopes to win the AFC in 2019. The game will kick off 8:20 PM ET on NBC. The Patriots are the favorites to win the game.
Here are the details:
Game Time: 8:20 PM ET
Spread: New England -5.5
Announcers: Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth
The Steelers coming off a 9-6-1 season in 2018 resulting in missing out on the playoffs. Roethlisberger is entering his 16th season in the league — all with Pittsburgh.
The Patriots, as previously mentioned, won the Super Bowl last season taking down the high-powered Rams. To get to the Super Bowl, New England beat the Chargers and Chiefs. This upcoming season will be Brady’s 20th year in the league.
The Patriots-Steelers match-up will conclude Sunday’s slate of games.
