Earlier this week, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter shocked the football world by suggesting Tom Brady would leave the New England Patriots after the 2019 season. Thursday morning, Schefter doubled down by saying Brady staying with the Patriots is the "least-likely option."
Schefter suggested Brady will retire or play for a new team in 2020.
Expanding on Schefter's comments, fellow ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith suggested a new landing spot for the star quarterback.
Smith wouldn't be surprised to see Brady land with the Tennessee Titans and former teammate Mike Vrabel.
"I think people are missing something here...the Tennessee Titans. Why would I say that? Who's Tom Brady known to be close to? Mike Vrabel, the head coach of the Tennessee Titans. What's the problem with the Tennessee Titans as we see them right now? I got news for you, it's not the defense. Their defense if the fourth-ranked defense in the NFL," Smith said.
This is hardly the first time someone has suggested Brady won't finish his career with the Patriots. Rumors about a potential move for Brady seem to pop up every year, yet he remains a member of the New England organization.
Will Brady finally sever ties with the Patriots?
