There might be critics ready to dismiss the New England Patriots as Super Bowl contenders this season, but Tom Brady is cautioning the public against doing that.
New England suffered its second loss of the season this past weekend to the Houston Texans. The offense struggled mightily until the final minutes in which the opposing defense took its foot off the gas.
With another important AFC showdown looming this weekend, Brady went on social media to give his thoughts on the team’s recent issues.
Brady shared the following message on Instagram: ‘”A man is not finished when he is defeated. He is finished when he quits.’ This team will never quit!”
It’s an inspiring quote from Brady, who clearly isn’t going to let Sunday’s loss define his season.
Here’s the full post from his Instagram account:
Brady has completed 61.1 percent of his passes for 3,268 yards and 18 touchdowns.
One of the biggest issues for the Patriots is their lack of consistency at wide receiver. Earlier in the season, the roster had proven veterans like Josh Gordon and Antonio Brown. Fast forward to the present day, and the offense is now relying on N’Keal Harry and Jakobi Meyers.
We’ll see if New England can break out of its slump on offense when it hosts Kansas City this Sunday.
