It doesn't matter that Antonio Brown isn't currently employed by an NFL team, the talented wide receiver continues to be the talk of the league. On Thursday, he decided to go on a long-winded rant on Twitter about why football needs him.

The timing of Brown's social media activity is bizarre. Last week he announced that he's done playing in the NFL, but it's obvious that he's changed his tone.

Now, the disgruntled wideout is claiming that the NFL needs him.

Brown's recent claims on Twitter have caught the attention of fellow wide receiver Golden Tate. He responded to Brown's tweets, saying "What?"

Tate wasn't the only NFL player to respond like this. Veteran NFL safety Eric Weddle tweeted the following:

You have to wonder if Brown's antics changed how players around the league feel about him. At the very least, they must be questioning his motives in recent months.

Brown has been released by two teams in the span of a month. Oakland and New England decided to cut the cord with him due to his issues off the field.

The NFL is currently investigating allegations of sexual assault against Brown from multiple women. He may be interested in returning to the league, but teams will likely steer clear from signing him for now.
