On the eve of the election, Donald Trump is claiming two big-name endorsements from the NFL.

Speaking at a rally in New Hampshire, the Republican presidential nominee said New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady have offered their support.

In fact, Trump said Brady called him today to inform him he had voted for him.

He also said Belichick sent him a note of encouragement, which he proceeded to read aloud the alleged contents of it. You can watch the video of Trump talking about the note below. The Big Lead has provided the transcription:

Congratulations on a tremendous campaign. You have dealt with an unbelievable slanted and negative media, and have come out beautifully. You’ve proved to be the ultimate competitor and fighter. Your leadership is amazing. I have always had tremendous respect for you, but the toughness and perseverance you have displayed over the past year is remarkable. Hopefully tomorrow’s election results will give the opportunity to make America great again. Best wishes for great results tomorrow, Bill Belichick

We all know about Brady keeping the "Make America Great Again" hat in his locker, and apparently Belichick and Donald Trump had dinner together back in the spring.

A notoriously private guy, Belichick is probably going to love being asked about this tomorrow. Update: Tom Brady apparently said during a radio interview this morning that he had not voted yet.

More to come.
