Colts vs. Jets preview:

The Colts (5-6) are fresh off of a 28-7 loss to the Steelers on Thanksgiving. They were winners of two straight prior to the loss to Pittsburgh. The Jets (3-8) fell to the Patriots last Sunday 22-17 and are losers of three straight games.

New York put together a strong performance against New England, but two fumbles lost proved to be the difference maker. New England also ran 71 total plays compared to just 56 from the Jets. Ryan Fitzpatrick went 22-for-32 through the air for 269 yards and two touchdowns.

The Colts were also plagued by two turnovers in their loss to the Steelers last week. Pittsburgh out gained Indianapolis 369 yards to 310 yards as well as the Steelers' run game was strong picking up 148 yards. Scott Tolzien, who started in replace of an injured Andrew Luck, threw for 205 yards, two picks and one touchdown.

The Colts are 40-28 all-time in regular season meetings against the Jets.

Colts vs. Jets Prediction:

Luck has been participating in practice this week, so indications are that he will return for Indianapolis this Monday.

With Luck back under center, the edge has to go to Indianapolis which is also a team desperate for wins in hopes to solidify itself as the AFC South favorite. The Jets' defense ranks 12th in the NFL in yards allowed per game with 348.7, but the Colts go to MetLife and get back to their winning ways.
