After three straight embarrassing losses, the New York Jets got back in the win column with a win over the New York Giants today. But perhaps no player had a bigger role in the Jets’ win than Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams.
Early in the third quarter, Adams had the play of the game – and maybe the best defensive play of the Jets season. He bull-rushed past Giants star running back Saquon Barkley then ripped the ball out of Giants quarterback Daniel Jones’ hands. Adams then ran the ball back 25 yards for a touchdown.
The play proved to be a key difference maker as the Jets went on to win by a touchdown, 34-27.
Following the game, Adams took to Twitter and showed off his “Mood.”
Adams’ tweet included a hilarious Spongebob Squarepants clip of Patrick Star ripping a purse from Spongebob’s hands – reminiscent of his stripe-sack-touchdown of Jones.

The tweet has garnered nearly 4,000 shares and 20,000 likes in one hour since he posted it.
But that play was merely the exclamation point on an all-around stellar day for Adams. He finished the game with a team-leading nine tackles, two sacks, and two forced fumbles.
Not a bad day at the office.
The win must have felt nice too.
