On Tuesday afternoon, the NFL trade deadline came and went without any significant moves being made.
Several names were mentioned as possible trade candidates, including Redskins offensive lineman Trent Williams and Jets safety Jamal Adams.
New York reportedly spoke with two teams about a potential Jamal Adams trade, but also spoke with teams about two other players. Multiple reports suggested the Jets were listening to calls for star running back Le'Veon Bell.
New York decided to hold onto the former Pittsburgh Steelers running back as the trade deadline passed.
On Tuesday night, Bell took to social media to give Jets fans a message. He made it clear he wants to be in New York and wants Jets fans to have patience as the team rebuilds.
Here's what he had to say.
Bell leads the team in rushing with 349 yards on the ground this season.
He's also proved to be a viable weapon in the pass game - though the Jets could still use him more in that capacity. He's racked up 32 receptions for 187 yards and a touchdown in the first eight weeks of the season.
Bell and the Jets travel on the road to Miami this weekend for a match-up against the Dolphins this weekend.
