Jets WR Terrelle Pryor Spotted In Walking Boot

Terrelle Pryor signed with the Jets this off-season, after a rough year in Washington. He's had a setback in his attempt to re-energize his NFL career, though.

The former Ohio State star quarterback was spotted in a walking boot during Jets OTAs. He reportedly underwent a previously unannounced procedure on his ankle.

NFL Media's Ian Rapoport broke the news on Pryor earlier today.

Head coach Todd Bowles said it will be "close" whether Pryor will be ready for training camp.

Bowles spoke to reporters about Pryor's status during today's press conference.

The Jets aren't exactly stacked at wide receiver. Last season, the only two players to go for over 800 yards in the air were Robby Anderson and Jermaine Kearse.

Pryor had a lackluster 2017 season in Washington, in which he only caught 20 passes for 240 yards and a touchdown. His year was cut short by injury.

2016 was a breakout campaign for the former star quarterback, however. As a Brown, he caught 77 balls for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns.

If the Jets get that Pryor next season, it could be a coup for the young team. He still has to win a roster spot, however, and this ankle injury certainly doesn't help matters.
