Fantasy football has become such an important part of each NFL season. It's one of the main reasons that people will watch a random game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Jacksonville Jaguars with the hope that one of their players will make a big play or two.

This past season was dominated by Lamar Jackson, who was named the MVP of the league. Anyone that was fortunate enough to draft him in fantasy football was rewarded throughout the year.

It'll be extremely tough for Jackson to replicate his performance from this past season, but he remains the top option at quarterback for all fantasy owners in 2020.

ESPN's Matthew Berry shared his 2020 fantasy rankings for each position. He has Jackson at No. 1 for quarterbacks, which isn't that surprising.

Here are the top three quarterbacks for fantasy football this year, via ESPN:

  1. Lamar Jackson
  2. Patrick Mahomes
  3. Dak Prescott

Mahomes was the best quarterback in fantasy football for the 2018 season. It didn't take long for Jackson to dethrone him in 2019 - albeit Mahomes missed time due to a knee injury.

Every year, it seems like a young quarterback comes out of nowhere to put up big numbers. Perhaps now is the time for Kyler Murray to shine since he'll have DeAndre Hopkins lined up at wideout.

Do you agree with Berry's fantasy rankings for the 2020 season?
