Dez Bryant's NFL comeback has been a long and frustrating journey. So much so, the former star receiver and new Baltimore Ravens wideout couldn't help but let out a few tears Tuesday morning.
Bryant's NFL comeback has been in the works for some time now. He hasn't played in the league since 2017, the last of eight years in both the NFL and with the Dallas Cowboys.
Bryant hasn't been shying away from his desire to return to the NFL one day. The former star receiver has spent all these years training and preparing for an eventual NFL comeback. That comeback is finally taking place.
The Baltimore Ravens signed Bryant to their practice squad this week. He'll have a solid chance of making the active roster and seeing the field at some point this season. Naturally, Bryant is emotional considering the events that have transpired over the years and especially this week.
"My emotions running high right now... I’m thankful...I can’t stop crying," Bryant confessed on Twitter.
It's completely understandable why Dez Bryant is so emotional this week. We can't wait to see him finally suit up in an NFL uniform, once again. We especially can't wait to see what he's able to do in the Ravens offense.
Baltimore looks the part of a Super Bowl contender, but the Chiefs and Steelers appear to be better suited for a championship run.
Perhaps Bryant will wind up being the Ravens' missing piece that takes them to the promised land.
