Earlier this offseason, Green addressed his future with the Bengals.
“I love my time here,” he said, via Ben Baby of ESPN. “Who knows what is going to happen? I will be ready for anything and be excited to get back to playing football whether it is here or somewhere else.
“My wife, my family, my boys, we are going to sit down and make the best decision that is going to be best for my career,” Green continued. “Right now, we don’t know what that looks like right now but we prepare for anything.”
After taking a few weeks to think about it, Green decided the best place for him to play is down in Arizona with quarterback Kyler Murray.
By signing Green, it likely signals that the Cardinals are expecting to be without legendary wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. However, he has not made an official decision yet.
Arizona landed two key – albeit aging – free agents in Green and star pass rusher J.J. Watt this offseason.
