Former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield won't be playing for the Cleveland Browns when the 2022 season kicks off.

Following a rough 2021 season, the Browns decided to make a bold trade for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. With Watson in Cleveland, Mayfield knew his days were numbered.

He's not letting the recent event stop him from getting on the field, though. Earlier Thursday afternoon, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reported Mayfield worked out with Cole Beasley and Danny Amendola.

"Veteran wide receiver Cole Beasley, one of the top free agents available, Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield, who has requested a trade, and wide receiver Danny Amendola got in a throwing session today in Austin where all three NFL players live in the offseason, per league source," Wilson said.

It didn't take fans long to start reacting to the news. Of course, there were those on social media who laughed at the news.

"Actually laughing," one fan said.

Fans couldn't help but poke fun at the trio, who will all likely be on new teams when the 2022 season kicks off. "Aye look it’s the replacements," another fan said.

Other fans weren't sure if the report was legitimate, considering Baker just had surgery on his non-throwing shoulder.

"Didn’t Baker just have surgery?" the fan asked.

Baker Mayfield is looking for a new team, but not many teams have showed interest just yet.

Where will he land?
