The Cincinnati Bengals have been without star wide receiver A.J. Green through the first month of the season. Green is dealing with an ankle injury suffered this summer that required surgery.
Green won't play tonight against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In fact, a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter earlier today stated Green may still be out "a while."
However, if Bengal fans were looking for a positive sign on Green's recovery, pregame video of him doing agility drills before tonight's game should do the trick.
Green reportedly has a medical checkup scheduled for later this week, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Green only played in nine games last season, recording career-lows in catches (46) and yards (694). He did manage six touchdowns though.
In 2017, the 2011 first-round pick played in all 16 games, topping 1,000 yards and hauling in eight touchdowns. Green has made the Pro Bowl seven times since entering the league.
The Bengals will kickoff against the Steelers at 8:15 p.m. ET tonight on ESPN. Both teams are 0-3 and looking for their first win of the season.
Currently, the Cleveland Browns (2-2) lead the NFC North via tiebreaker over the Baltimore Ravens (2-2). Cleveland defeated Baltimore yesterday 40-25.
