During Monday night’s blowout win over the Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa got some revenge on Cleveland quarterback Baker Mayfield.
After chasing Mayfield down on the final play of the first half, Bosa pantomimed a flag planting demonstration. It was meant to mock Mayfield.
Two years ago, during his final season at Oklahoma, Mayfield enraged the Ohio State fan base by planting an OU field in the turf at The Horseshoe following a big win. Bosa played on that Buckeye team and clearly didn’t forget.
Today, Mayfield was asked about Bosa’s actions. He responded in typical Baker fashion.

If we figure correctly, Mayfield is more annoyed with his team getting throttled than Bosa’s display of gamesmanship. The Browns are 2-3 and floundering.
Mayfield has seemingly regressed in Year 2 after a strong rookie campaign. His offensive line is weak, but he’s struggling with accuracy and skittishness even when he gets protection.
With games coming up against the Seahawks and Patriots, things could get ugly quickly for Cleveland.
