The Cleveland Browns are reportedly "furious" with another NFL team following their trade talks over the past few weeks.
Cleveland general manager John Dorsey made it clear he was all-in on adding depth along the offensive line. Dorsey reportedly reached out to the Washington Redskins and offered a first-round pick for Trent Williams a few weeks ago.
According to a report from Yahoo Sports insider Charles Robinson, the Redskins initially turned down Dorsey's offer. However as the trade deadline drew near, Washington reportedly attempted to re-ignite talks with the Browns.
The calls reportedly left the Browns "furious" with the Redskins.
Browns insider Keith Britton revealed Robinson's comments from Yahoo Sports NFL Podcast:
"'The Cleveland Browns are furious with the Washington Redskins over Trent Williams.' Says 6 weeks ago, Redskins could’ve had 1st rd pk for Williams from CLE. WASH waited 6 weeks, CLE basically said 'kiss my ass, you’re not calling me now,'" Robinson said.
The Browns failed to land what they coveted - a left tackle - before the trade deadline.
As for Williams, the Pro Bowler reported to the Redskins on Tuesday afternoon. He reportedly passed his physical on Wednesday morning and the team expects him to practice this afternoon.
