The tension in Cleveland is mounting as the Browns lost again today to fall to 2-6. Odell Beckham seems especially frustrated.
On a key fourth down late in the game, Cleveland quarterback Baker Mayfield didn’t target Beckham, who appeared to be open down the sideline. Instead, he threw incomplete into coverage.
After the play was over, CBS reported that Beckham returned to the sideline and said “I can’t get the ball to save my life.”

Below is a look at the fourth down play. Odell appears to have Chris Harris Jr. beat by a full step and has his hand up to boot.
Odell Beckham was open on that 4th-and-4, but Baker Mayfield didn't throw his way.

Odell did finish the afternoon as Cleveland’s leading receiver, catching five passes for 87 yards. However, he has only found the end zone once in eight games.
Clearly, this is not what Cleveland fans anticipated when their team traded for Beckham in the offseason. The explosive connection between he and Mayfield has not materialized.
The next thing to watch for in Cleveland: a possible Odell/Baker meldtown and how long Freddie Kitchens stays employed as head coach.
