On Tuesday afternoon, the Los Angeles Rams and Cleveland Browns agreed to a trade.
According to multiple reports, the Browns sent former second-round pick Austin Corbett to the Rams for an undisclosed pick.
Cleveland expected Corbett to step up after the team shipped Kevin Zeitler to the New York Giants this off-season. However, he hasn’t filled in as expected and the team decided now was a good time to part ways.
Corbett fills an immediate need for the Rams, who just lost offensive lineman Joe Noteboom.
The Browns announced the trade.
“The Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams have agreed to the following trade. Browns receive: Undisclosed 2021 draft pick. Rams receive: C Austin Corbett. Corbett has appeared in 14 games since joining the Browns as a second-round pick in 2018. He appeared in three games as a reserve this year,” the team said in a statement.
We've agreed to trade C Austin Corbett to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick.

Corbett shot up draft boards following a successful collegiate career at Nevada. After a promising Senior Bowl, the Browns selected Corbett with the first pick in the second round of the 2018 NFL draft.
Now after just one full year with the organization, Corbett is headed to a new team.
