Here's Where Dez Bryant Stands With The Cleveland Browns, After Thursday's Visit

Dez Bryant gave a candid interview after he was released by the Cowboys.

Dez Bryant was in Cleveland on Thursday meeting with the Browns, after weeks of speculation about his fit with the franchise.

No deal was reached, and that wasn't expected to happen on Thursday. Instead, this was more about Bryant and the Browns brass feeling each other out and getting a sense for the fit.

Dez is not a Brown yet. However, it sounds like things went well overall. He, in particular, seems to be excited about the possibility.

Cleveland.com Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot said that the Dez Bryant Browns meeting left "both sides impressed."

More, from her full report:

Bryant was excited about the visit, which included time spent at the Browns facility on Thursday and dinner that night. Likewise, the Browns were impressed with him, but it was more a chance for the two sides to get acquainted and see if it was a fit.

One league source told cleveland.com early Friday morning that a deal was not expected today.

The Browns have already added Jarvis Landry this off-season. The team is also hoping to get Josh Gordon back soon, though he is now reportedly dealing with legal issues.

The team also traded for Tyrod Taylor from the Bills, who will start while first overall pick Baker Mayfield learns from the sideline.

The Browns will be interesting, and if they add Dez, pretty talented at the offensive skill positions. How good they will be, is yet to be seen.
