Last Friday, the Cleveland Browns acquired Deshaun Watson in a blockbuster trade with the Houston Texans. Fast forward a week later, and the team is ready to officially introduce him as its newest quarterback.
Moments ago, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport had an update on Watson's introductory press conference with the Browns.
Watson will meet with the media at 1 p.m. ET this Friday.
"New Browns QB Deshaun Watson has passed his physical and will sign his 5-year, $230M contract today," Rapoport announced on Twitter. "At 1 pm, Cleveland will introduce Watson in a press conference also featuring coach Kevin Stefanski and GM Andrew Berry."
Reporters in Cleveland will most likely have plenty of questions to ask Watson this Friday.
The media will also want to know how this trade came together. The Browns were initially removed from the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes before working out a fully guaranteed deal for the Pro Bowl quarterback.
Hopefully, all those questions are answered this Friday.
