Despite requesting a trade earlier this month, Baker Mayfield remains on the Cleveland Browns. The reality is his trade market just hasn't been very strong.

Even though Mayfield's market isn't very active at this time, there's a chance he'll be moved in the near future.

So, what's the best fit for the former No. 1 overall pick? An NFC personnel executive believes the Seattle Seahawks would be the best suitor for Mayfield.

"There’s no doubt that Baker Mayfield is Seattle’s best option,” an NFC personnel executive told FanSided's Matt Lombardo. “He’s only 26 years old. Is he a headstrong guy? Is he a prideful guy? Absolutely, bigger than life, and that’s alright. Pete Carroll can corral that in. That’s what he’s good at.”

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport recently said Mayfield’s trade market isn’t very strong is because of his $18 million base salary

“It doesn’t seem like anyone is interested at this salary,” Rapoport said. “The at this salary part is key because Baker Mayfield is unlikely to be traded at $18 million. If the Browns are able to eat some money, or the agent and new team can come up with an answer to split or deal with his salary, I believe he’ll be traded. I don’t get the sense the Browns will release him.”

In the event that Mayfield is released or accepts a reduced salary, the Seahawks might pursue him.
