Patriots Reportedly Trade Jamie Collins To Cleveland

The Patriots and Browns have reportedly made a trade.

New England has reportedly traded 27-year-old linebacker Jamie Collins to Cleveland, according to a report by ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.

The Patriots are giving up Collins, a second round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, for a compensatory third-round draft pick.

Collins has been one of the Patriots' best defensive players over the last couple of seasons. In 2015, he was named to his first Pro Bowl and was a second-team All-Pro selection.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pound linebacker out of Southern Miss was the No. 52 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. At Southern Miss, Collins played on the defensive line, as a linebacker and in the secondary. He compiled 314 tackles, 21 sacks, three interceptions and three touchdowns over the course of his career. Collins was a first-team All-Conference USA selection his senior season.

New England (7-1) has a bye this weekend before hosting the Seattle Seahawks.
