It's no secret that Baker Mayfield has a bunch of critics when it comes to his production on the football field. Well, it appears Rex Ryan is the latest media analyst to take shots at the former No. 1 overall pick.

The Browns are off to a disappointing 1-2 start to the season. All the chatter about the upstart AFC North squad being a championship contender has quickly faded.

Mayfield hasn't looked sharp through the first three weeks of the season. Since he's quite vocal off the field, the young gunslinger is being heavily criticized for his recent performances.

During ESPN's Get Up on Monday, Ryan blasted Mayfield by calling him "overrated as hell."

Ryan didn't hold back from his thoughts about the Browns quarterback, blaming him for holding onto the football for too long and not throwing it accurately down the field.

"I bought into the hype, but not to the point where everybody is saying he's going to be the league MVP," Ryan said.

The Browns need a strong performance from Mayfield this weekend when they battle the Baltimore Ravens.

Another loss for Cleveland could result in more backlash for the second-year quarterback.
