At this pace it looks like all the drama surrounding Pittsburgh off the field will linger throughout the offseason. Although Ben Roethlisberger tried to bury the hatchet between Antonio Brown and himself, former members of the Steelers are still chiming in on the feud.
Last week, Roethlisberger apologized for the way he handled his relationship with Brown. The two reached their breaking point during the season, following a last-second loss to the Denver Broncos.
Brown chose not to respond to Roethlisberger’s remarks, which led many to believe this story would finally end. Well, it appears that won’t be the case.
Former Steelers linebacker and assistant coach, Joey Porter, went on NFL Network to talk about his former team.
During the segment on NFL Network, Porter spoke to Terrell Davis about their former quarterbacks and how they handled the locker room. While Davis had nothing but praise for John Elway, Porter had an interesting comment about Roethlisberger, saying “It’s clear he has the power, and how he uses it? He uses it for him.”
In addition to talking about Roethlisberger’s leadership skills, Porter said that he took way too long to apologize to Brown.

Porter might know more about the situation considering that he was around both players for multiple years. However, it’s also interesting to note that Pittsburgh chose not to renew his contract after the 2018 season.
The pressure will be on for the Steelers to bounce back this upcoming season, and most of that pressure will fall upon the shoulders of Roethlisberger.
As for Brown, he’ll try to prove his worth with the Oakland Raiders.
