Well, the first preseason game of the year, that is. The Steelers and Cowboys faced off in the Hall of Fame Game, pitting two of the most historic franchises against one another.
It looked very much like the first game of the season as both offenses struggled to find much of a rhythm. Back-ups played a major role in the game as star players like Dak Prescott and Ben Roethlisberger didn’t suit up.
During the game, one Steelers wide receiver caught the eye of former NFL star wide receiver Dez Bryant. He thinks James Washington would be a great addition to another NFL team.
“If you are a team and want a top tier WR trade for James Washington….thank me later,” he said on Twitter.

Washington has been a solid role player for the Steelers over the past few years. He’s struggled to crack the starting roster with JuJu Smith-Schuster, Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool holding down the starting slots last year.
However, when push came to shove, Washington came up with one of the most clutch moments of the 2020 season. He brought down a touch catch against the Baltimore Ravens that helped seal a crucial win.
Despite his best efforts, though, Washington remains behind JuJu, Diontae and Chase on the depth chart.
Could the Steelers trade him?
