The 2019 NFL season officially kicked off on Thursday night when the Green Bay Packers took down the Chicago Bears in a defensive display.
Although the bulk of Sunday’s action will take place in the afternoon, it’s the night game that has everyone’s attention.
The Pittsburgh Steelers travel to New England to take on the reigning Super Bowl champion Patriots on Sunday night.
Tom Brady has owned the Steelers during his tenure in the NFL. He’s 11-3 against Pittsburgh and the Patriots are once again favored to get a win over Ben Roethlisberger and company.
ESPN’s Football Power Index gives the Patriots a 65.1-percent chance of winning the game. The Steelers have a 34.7-percent chance to pull the upset in New England, according to the computer model.
Tom Brady and company are 5.5-point favorites heading into the season-opener.
One of the highlights in Sunday night’s game will be Antonio Brown. Though he won’t be on the field for his new team, Brown will wear a Patriots uniform for the first time.
It’s also the first time he’ll see his former Pittsburgh Steelers teammates since the team traded him to Oakland.
Pittsburgh and New England kick off tonight at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
