Just two days ago, the Pittsburgh Steelers found their new franchise quarterback by drafting former Pitt standout Kenny Pickett with the No. 20 overall pick.
He was the only quarterback to be selected in the first two rounds. Not long after he heard his name called, he made the trip back to Pittsburgh, where he played for four seasons.
He'll soon be joined by his new fiancee, Amy Paternoster, who was by his side during the draft. Pickett proposed to his longtime girlfriend during his final season with the Panthers.
On Friday night, she shared a message for the new Steelers quarterback on Instagram.
"Can't wait to watch you in action!!" she said in the caption of a picture that showed Pickett in a mocked-up Steelers jersey.
Check it out.
Paternoster is a college soccer player, who attends Princeton. She'll graduate this spring and perhaps join Pickett in Pittsburgh where they'll hopefully be for a long time.
