The Pittsburgh Steelers were without running back James Conner in their win over the Colts on Sunday. Conner missed the entire week of practice leading up to the game.
The Steelers running back is dealing with a shoulder injury. But it looks like there’s a good chance Conner will return to action this upcoming Sunday. It will all depend on how the RB looks in practice this week.
Mike Tomlin spoke to the media on Tuesday saying he’s “optimistic”regarding Conner’s status, via NBC Sports. Tomlin also mentioned Conner will have limited reps in the early portions of practice this week.
Tomlin and the Steelers will reevaluate Conner towards the end of the week to see if he’ll be available on Sunday.
Tomlin says Ramon Foster (concussion) is scheduled to practice tomorrow.
James Conner's participation this week will be the guide for Sunday. He'll be limited in the early parts of the week. Tomlin says they expect him "perk up" as the week goes on.

Pittsburgh is gearing up for a tough contest against the 5-3 Los Angeles Rams. The Steelers themselves are 4-4 and, believe it or not, in second place in the AFC North behind the Ravens.
Sunday’s game is pivotal for both teams, as they hope to catch up with their respective division leaders. The Steelers are hoping to have Conner available for the contest.
In seven games this season, Conner’s ran the ball 97 times for 380 yards and four rushing scores. He’s also added 29 catches for 236 yards and two touchdowns.
