On Day 1 of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected their quarterback of the future in Kenny Pickett. On Friday night, they got him a potential-packed offensive weapon.

With the 52nd pick in the draft, the Steelers selected Georgia wide receiver George Pickens.

Pickens made an immediate impact at Georgia, hauling in 48 passes for 727 yards as a freshman. Unfortunately, injuries prevented him from reaching his full potential at the collegiate level.

That being said, NFL fans are awfully confident that Pickens will have a stellar career in Pittsburgh.

"The Steelers are the greatest franchise of all time when it comes to drafting and developing WRs," one fan tweeted. "George Pickens is guaranteed to become an absolute stud."

"They don't miss," another fan said.

"He’s gonna be a stud and we’re gonna look like idiots," a third fan wrote.

Pickens will most likely compete for the No. 3 spot on the depth chart in Pittsburgh.

If Pickens reaches his full potential, he could end up being a star for the Steelers. After all, they have an excellent track record when it comes to drafting wide receivers.
