On Thursday night, the Cleveland Browns hosted the Pittsburgh Steelers in a pivotal matchup between AFC North foes.
The Steelers entered the game on a winning streak, but got off to a rocky start against the struggling Browns.
Cleveland raced out to an early 14-0 lead in the first half. However, that was just the start of the misery for Steelers fans.
Star running back James Conner, who suffered a shoulder injury three weeks ago against the Miami Dolphins, re-injured the shoulder. But that’s not all.
Just a few plays later, star wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster caught a pass, but was hit in the helmet by two Browns defenders.
He appeared to be knocked unconscious during the play. Trainers immediately rushed to Smith-Schuster’s side and he was able to walk off under his own power.
Here’s the hit.

Without Conner and Smith-Schuster, the Steelers’ already-struggling offense is left with young players at the skill positions.
It’s a tough blow for Pittsburgh, who looked to be in prime position for a run at the playoffs. After losing Ben Roethlisberger in the second week of the season, the offense has relied heavily on young players.
We’ll have to wait and see what they can do tonight.
UPDATE: Smith-Schuster has been ruled OUT with a concussion.
#Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster has already been ruled out with concussion. Another Pittsburgh playmaker not on the field.
