A brutal day for the rookie star.
The entire NFL is reeling from the just-breaking news that Houston Texans rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL in practice today.
Watson was just named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month earlier today and his NFL career was off to a record-setting start. Now, he will join a star-studded list of players out of the season, including Aaron Rodgers, Odell Beckham Jr., Andrew Luck and J.J. Watt.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Watson wasn't doing too much at all when he tore his ACL. The quarterback was running a read option during a drill on a grass field, and left the field with trainers.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Watson. Just an awful situation.
